Terms & Conditions

Participation, conduct, and responsibilities for BISA-2027

BISA-2027 · Conference Information

These terms apply to conference submissions, registration, and participation. Registering for or attending BISA-2027 indicates that you have read and agree to follow the conference requirements below.

01

Conference organisation and updates

  • BISA-2027 is organised by the conference committee with its partners. References to the organisers mean the team responsible for the conference.
  • The organisers may make reasonable changes to the venue, programme, speakers, or timings when circumstances require it. Updates will be posted on the conference website and, where appropriate, sent to registered participants.
  • The organisers are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs arising from changes to conference arrangements or dates.
02

Respectful participation

  • Participants are expected to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and productive environment and treat attendees, speakers, volunteers, staff, and organisers with respect.
  • Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, bullying, stalking, or unwanted physical or verbal attention is not acceptable. The organisers may take appropriate action, including asking a participant to leave the event.
  • Report a conduct concern to conference staff or contact the organising team at info@icbisa.com.
03

Photography, recordings, and event materials

  • The organisers may take photographs or recordings for conference-related reporting and promotion. If you do not wish to appear in organiser-created media, contact the team before attending so that it can discuss the available arrangements.
  • Participants must respect applicable recording, photography, and intellectual-property restrictions when capturing or sharing conference content.
04

Submissions and publication

  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy, originality, permissions, and integrity of their submissions and for responding to editorial or publisher queries.
  • Review comments represent the reviewers’ independent academic views. Reviewer identities and confidential review information are not disclosed.
  • Acceptance or registration does not guarantee publication or indexing. Final publication decisions and indexing are made by the relevant publisher and indexing services.
05

Travel, safety, and liability

  • Participants are responsible for checking and meeting their own visa, entry, travel, and insurance requirements. Invitation letters are considered only for eligible registered participants after organiser review.
  • Participants should take reasonable care of their personal belongings and health. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the organisers are not responsible for loss or damage outside their control.
06

Governing terms

  • Registration is intended for participants aged 18 or older. Participants are responsible for their own visa requirements; an unsuccessful visa application does not automatically qualify for a refund.
  • These terms follow the governing-law provision published by the conference organiser. The organisers may update them when conference arrangements or applicable requirements change, and the current version will be published on this website.
